Edelweiss Creation SA provides and operates the Jenialo platform. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
When you fill in our contact form, we process your first name, your last name, your email address, your phone number if you provide it, the name of your organisation and the content of your message.
When you create an organiser account, we process your identification data, your contact details, the name of your organisation and the billing information needed for your subscription.
Jenialo lets you record information about your volunteers, participants, teams and events, including the custom fields you create yourself. This data belongs to you and is processed on your behalf.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your email address, the language of the sign-up page, the page on which you signed up, and the dates of your sign-up and its confirmation. Your sign-up only takes effect once you click the confirmation link you receive by email. The newsletter is sent with Infomaniak Newsletter (Switzerland). Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us at any time to delete your address.
When you visit the website and the application, technical data is recorded for security and operational purposes: IP address, browser type, operating system, date and time of access.
We process your data on the basis of the performance of the contract between us, your consent when you write to us or sign up for the newsletter, our legitimate interests in securing and improving our services, and compliance with our legal obligations.
When you record data about your volunteers or participants, you are the controller of that data and Edelweiss Creation SA acts as processor. It is your responsibility to inform the data subjects, to have a legal basis for this processing and to collect only the information your organisation really needs.
Jenialo's data is hosted in Switzerland: the application runs on an Infomaniak virtual private server (a Swiss company with data centres in Switzerland) and the database is hosted by Supabase, in the Zurich region. Payments are processed by Stripe (Ireland and the United States), which receives the billing and payment data of the person who subscribes, never volunteers' data. The full list of our service providers is on the Subprocessors page; all are chosen for their level of security and bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal data. More details on our Swiss solution page.
We keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, then for the periods required by law, in particular for accounting. Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. Your address remains subscribed to the newsletter until you unsubscribe; an unconfirmed sign-up is deleted after 30 days. At the end of your subscription, your data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time, after a period during which it can be retrieved.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encryption of communications (HTTPS), access control, regular backups and logging of sensitive access. As no system is infallible, we recommend that you use a strong password and do not share it.
Always active, because they are necessary. The Jenialo application uses technical cookies that are essential to keep your session open. The website remembers your cookie choice (jenialo_consent, six months). The website and the application also remember the language you chose, French, German or English (jenialo_lang, one year). When you arrive through the link of a Jenialo partner, a jenialo_ref cookie keeps their code for 30 days, solely to credit them with your sign-up, if any.
Only with your consent. If you click "Accept" in the banner, we measure website traffic and the effectiveness of our ads with Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) and the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). These services may transfer browsing data to the United States, on the basis of the contractual safeguards provided by these providers. These tools are used only on this website and on the page for creating a space; never in the application, where the data of volunteers and donors is processed.
You can change your choice at any time: manage cookies.
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure and objection, as well as the right to data portability. You can exercise these rights by writing to info@jenialo.ch. If your data was entered in Jenialo by an organisation or a company, please contact that organisation first, as it is the controller.
This policy may be adapted to reflect changes to our services or to the legal framework. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
